Dr. Mikhail Rogov is scientist of the Laboratory of Phanerozoic Stratigraphy (Department of Stratigraphy) of the Geological Institute of RAS, Moscow. He has been working here after receiving of PhD degree in stratigraphy & paleontology (2001, Moscow State University). His scientific interests lie within integral stratigraphy of the Jurassic and Lowermost Cretaceous, paleobiogeography, paleoclimates and cephalopod paleobiology. During the last few years Dr. Rogov and his colleagues proposed few Russian sections as a possible GSSP’s for the Callovian, Oxfordian and Volgian stages. He is author of more than 90 scientific publications (full list available below) and permanent participant of national and international conferences deal with Jurassic. Dr. Rogov involved in activity of some Jurassic working groups, such as Bathonian, Callovian, Oxfordian Kimmeridgian, and J/K boundary WG. He is a secretary of the Jurassic Commission of the Interdepartmental Stratigraphical Committee of Russia. In addition to scientific work he also take part in organization of student’s field practices and teaching basic stratigraphy for students of Moscow State University. Dr.Rogov is web-designer and author of bulk of materials of this bilingual web-site http://jurassic.ru Paleontology, stratigraphy and paleogeography of the Jurassic beds of the European Russia and adjacent areas; Jurassic of Arctic, especially Northern Siberia and Spitsbergen; ammonoidea of the Middle-Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous; aptychi and ammonoid paleobiology; gladius-bearing coleoids of the Jurassic and Cretaceous. Ammonoidea and biostratigraphy of the Callovian to Volgian of the European Russia; Jurassic - lowermost Cretaceous of Svalbard; oceanic ammonites of the J/K boundary beds of Arctic (incl. Phyllo-, Lytoceratida, Protancyloceratina); unusual coleoids of the Jurassic; Toarcian of Crimea; aptychi of the Lower Cretaceous of Azerbaijan Most important regions of the field works (only those field works which are longer than 3 weeks are listed):
